Pack News

For those of you that do not know we have received a very generous anonymous donation for the pack.  We have been raising money for a new Pine Wood Derby track and someone has decided that they would purchase the track and donate it to the pack.  So we now have a brand new 40' plastic track with some fun new addons.  

Cub Master Corner

Hello Pack 44 families,

As we move into March everyone is excited about the upcoming spring and summer activities for the Pack and our Dens. We just completed a great pinewood derby event where everyone had a great time. The new track was great and we all enjoyed the races. I think the Cub Master car was the best out there this year (just kidding). Now is not too early to begin thinking about Day Camp. As in past summers it will be held at camp Lazarus and will be a week of fun and exciting activities for all who take part. Buckeye District Day Camp will be the week of July 22 – 26, 2013. The 1^st price break for registration ends on March 1^st. If you register prior to that date the cost is $65. After March 1^st the price goes up to $75. In March our Pack will also hold our annual Blue & Gold Banquet on Thursday the 21^st in the Granby cafeteria. This is a time of celebration including a meal for everyone and we will cross our WEBELO 2 Scouts over to Boy Scouts.   Out next Pack Committee meeting will be held on March 9^th at Panera Bread beginning at 8:00 a.m. All parents are welcome to join us as we plan for the upcoming activities of the Pack. The Pack will also be hiking at Highbanks Metro Park on March 9^th. Meet at the nature center to begin the hike at 4:00. Don’t forget we will soon be preparing for our annual spring camping trip at Marmon Valley Farm which will be held June 8^th and 9^th.
